The City of Glass celebrates the Metro Vancouver region and its wonderful people through the medium of personal anecdotes and photographs, and the heavy emphasis on story-telling successfully distills all that Vancouver has to offer into a short yet highly readable book. For instance, the author’s retelling of his visit to the city’s harbor as a young boy or his observations about the Lion’s Gate Bridge is instantly relatable and endears the city to readers. The book is recommended reading for visitors to the city and a must-read for Vancouverites.
